Divine Justice
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Genesis 50.20
A while ago, I had an experience where I underwent some very painful triggers. In this process, I realized that I had been carrying some very painful subconscious beliefs about God in my heart that were causing me to overreact to everything that was happening around me. Now, these beliefs were subconscious. And I didn't realize I was thinking or believing lies about who God is and His goodness towards me, because in my head, I knew the truth. But God was wanting to deal with my heart, which was still doubting if God was truly good.
I cried and asked God, “why didn’t you deal with this earlier? Why have you let me live with this lie for so long?” The Holy Spirit responded that there was a specified time and a place that He had always intended to deal with this belief system. In addition, He was getting ready to upgrade me and lead me into a new season, and NOW was the time for this lie to go, so now was the time He was bringing it up. And then I got the strongest sense of the fierce, wild justice of God and I saw Him as a lion roaring over me. He spoke to my spirit “the enemy will turn and run in humiliation for what he’s done to you and I will use all of this for my glory.”
As Anne and I prayed about the month of February, we felt that this is something God is doing corporately. He is uprooting lies and deep-seeded belief systems that have been robbing people for many years. Although the enemy thinks he has gained a foothold, the Lord will turn this situation around and the justice of God over you will absolutely floor. For not only will He cause the enemy to pay for what he has done, the Lord will cause you to receive a divine recompense and repayment for the loss you’ve experienced. What the enemy meant for evil, the Lord intended for good.
God is turning the enemy’s plans on his head and repaying you for what has been stolen from you. You will see a flood of divine repayment. Areas that God is bringing about divine recompense: financial loss, emotional loss, mental health issues, relational divides, and stolen dreams. In order to step into this breakthrough, surrender to the healing that God is leading you through. It might look like letting go of belief systems that you want to hold onto but that are no longer serving you. You cannot take an old belief system into a new season or that old belief could prevent you from inhabiting the promised land. Therefore, it’s important to surrender your old mindsets and allow God to lead you into truth and into a new way of thinking.
God’s Perfect Timing
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
Habakkuk 2.3
We live in a fast-paced, insta-culture. We can microwave meals in minutes, get food delivered to our doors when we don’t want to cook, and get free two-day shipping with Amazon. Texts arrive to us the second they’re sent and we know what people are doing the minute they’re doing it with social media. This lifestyle has programmed us to get what we want when we want it. And many of us have lost the very important skill of delaying gratification.
However, God is not an insta-God. He doesn’t subscribe to our microwave culture. In fact, God has an extraordinary value for waiting, for perseverance, and for delayed gratification. When we look at nature and its rhythms, we see God’s heart for seasons. A fruit tree usually takes at least five years before it produces fruit. Oak trees take decades to become tall and strong.
And character is developed in waiting seasons and even in seemingly unanswered prayers. I have no desire to falsely glorify suffering or say that we always have to endure long waiting seasons for our promises (because that’s not true). However, if we always got everything we wanted the moment we wanted it, it wouldn’t serve our growth. Character is developed when we’re forced to grapple with what we don’t understand and still trust God. All of the giants of the faith went through some level of waiting season: Sarah and Abraham waited 25 years for a son. Joseph experienced the opposite of God’s promise for 13 years. David was anointed king and then fled for his life for 8 years. Even Jesus spent 30 years as a carpenter before he began his public ministry. These were all people favored by God and yet they experienced seasons of waiting, where their promise seemed it would not come to pass. Don’t give up hope! Praise God in the middle of your waiting season. Ask God how to steward your faith right now. God’s timing is perfect and intentional.
Joy in the Waiting
He has filled my mouth with laughter, my tongue with shouts of joy
Psalm 126:2
Waiting doesn’t have to mean struggle and hardship. In fact, most of your life you will spend waiting for something. But one of the hallmarks of a life of faith is the extraordinary joy that you get to experience in your waiting seasons. You can have outrageous joy while believing for a promise. You can absolutely love your life even when you’re experiencing unfulfilled dreams.
In fact, God can give you such full joy that you can forget you’re still waiting on a promise. What was once a burden to you can become light and easy. You are living your life right now. The fullness of life is available to you today. Stop waiting for your circumstances to change for you to enjoy life. Instead, embrace the richness and beauty of where you’re at right now. You have joy available to you and purpose available to you today.
God is releasing to you the gift of joy in the waiting. He is filling you with fresh joy and purpose while you’re still believing Him for a promise. If you've been waiting a long time for a dream, take this word for yourself. It’s time to step into joy! If you’ve been praying for a husband, children, a prodigal to come home, or a dream to come to life, take this word for yourself. Praise God as if the breakthrough had already come to pass. He is faithful.
Creative God Solutions
Call on me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
Psalm 5.15
God is the God of divine solutions, of creative breakthroughs, and of impossibilities becoming possible. If you have been feeling stuck or blocked in a certain area of your life, it’s time to come back to the Lord and ask for wisdom. Often, God's wisdom looks different than we expect. We might want him to immediately change our situation, but He wants to change us through the situation.
God is bringing about perspective shifts so that roadblocks and obstacles become stepping stones and opportunities. With God, obstacles are always opportunities. Opportunities for growth, opportunities for miracles, and opportunities for creative solutions. God wants to expand your thinking to see setbacks as invites to divine solutions. If you can’t go through the way you thought, can you go around?
Right now, God is opening up your eyes to see divine solutions and deliverance where previously you only saw difficulties. He is bringing creative breakthroughs and He is raising up His people to recognize how to access them. In fact, the thing that seemed like it would keep you from your destiny is the very thing God will use to launch you into your greatest influence. Access His perspective over your situation. Take bold steps of faith. Take action, even when it’s tempting to sit in discouragement. God’s got you.
At The Crowning Jewels, it's our desire and our mission to bring encouragement, to build others up, and to bring comfort to people’s lives (1 Corinthians 14.3). Each month, our founder, Anne Jackson, and our main writer, Katelyn Alexander ask the Lord what He’s doing in the coming month and for any words of encouragement He might have for His people. We believe that prophetic words need to be encouraging and edifying. Moreover, with a corporate prophetic word, not all words are applicable to all people. If our words bless you, please take hold of them and apply them in your own life. If it’s not specific to you, please pass it on to someone else who might be blessed.
As always, the prophetic is a free gift from heaven and will always be something we freely share. As a prophetic business, it’s our mission to bring encouragement and edification to people through the free gift of prophecy, with our product being jewelry.
We at The Crowning Jewels believe in the absolute, transformational power of declarations. We know that truth comes by hearing (Romans 10.17), and speaking truth is an active way for us to renew our minds (Romans 12.2). We invite you to partner with what God is doing and say these declarations for the remainder of the month. We would love to hear what God does! Please email us your testimony at hello@thecrowningjewels.com.
