A Light in the Darkness | June Blog

| The Crowning Jewels

In the month of June, God is exposing the plans of the enemy and protecting His people. He is bringing people out of isolation and connecting them with their communities. He is encouraging people to stand up against injustice and empowering them to walk in boldness. This month, ask God to show you who He wants you to connect with and lean into His Presence. Don’t be afraid to take bold steps in standing against injustice.

Light Triumphs over Darkness
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1.5

All throughout scripture are verses and stories of the enemy making plans against God and His people and the Lord turning those plans on the enemy’s head. If you read the Old Testament, you will find story after story of God miraculously bringing confusion or chaos to the enemy on behalf of His people. Likewise, we are in a spiritual battle, but we are not to fear because we are on the winning side; the Lord is our Defender. When the enemy plots, he plots in vain, for God will protect His righteous ones. Scripture says:

Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
“Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”
The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
Psalm 2.1-4

God is shining a light on the enemy’s plans and showing His people how to partner with Him. God is bringing exposure to what the enemy wants to keep hidden in the dark, therefore it’s significant to get into the Presence of Jesus and allow His light to shine on every hidden thing. We are more powerful than we know and often, what is needed in these dark times, is to simply shine a light on what He wants to keep hidden.  Likewise, allow the light of His Presence to radiate and shine through you. I’m reminded of the Sunday School song, “This little light of mine-I’m going to let it shine.” We are warriors of light, and often all that is needed is for us to shine our light in the darkness. Ask God to show you areas of your life where you need to shine your light on darkness.

This word is for you if you  have observed the plans of the enemy or felt like you’re in a spiritual battle. Pay attention around you to see where light would change the outcome of a situation. You may have witnessed things conspiring in the dark: whispers of a plan or you may have sensed the direction the enemy was going to move.  It’s time to shine a spotlight on His plans! And then keep looking at the face of Jesus!

Aligned in Purpose
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18.20

It is time to come out of isolation. Many of you have experienced loneliness and separation, but that season is ending.  It is time to draw near to one another. God is strategically aligning you with your people, therefore this is an important time to draw near to those who God highlights to you. This could look like physically moving so that you are near those you love or intentionally creating space in your schedule for connection. God is revealing strategy for those who are aligned with His purposes right now and people are receiving their “marching orders:” intentional assignments from Him. God is sending people out on assignments together. It’s as if there are small militia groups in the spirit that are being tasked with certain missions during this time.  Tune into God about who your group is and press in together about what your mission is.  When you are with them, the Holy Spirit will confirm it because you will feel like you were made for this.

God is aligning people in specific places and with specific missions to powerfully affect  His purposes on the earth. He is revealing the exact strategy needed to accomplish more together. He’s bringing the perfect teams together for the perfect mission at the perfect time. This word is for you if you have been longing to find your people  and your  purpose. God wants to use you now! Pay attention to the connections that God has made for you during this time, and even how He is moving you. He’s got this!

Standing up to Injustice
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Isaiah 58.6

There is a shift happening in the spirit realm as God’s people awaken to injustices all around them. It is time to stop accepting things you used to think were “just a part of life” but instead to stand up for what is right.  This passion for justice will affect both you and those around you. You may have found yourself  just going along with certain things so as to “not rock the boat” in the past. But now you find yourself standing up for justice in unexpected ways.  You may even feel a righteous indignation rise up within you when the right thing is not done.  It may catch you off guard and surprise those that know you. However, God is using this to overturn the enemy’s plans. Watch as it starts with seemingly trivial things (like telemarketers that don’t respect your “no”) and then turns into bigger issues as God trusts you with more..

God is raising up those who are passionate about justice and willing to take a stand for the cause of righteousness.  If your heart is stirred towards injustice, this is the Lord awakening you! Maybe you have felt passive in the past but now it’s time to rise up.

Take bold steps. Speak up. Stand up. The time is now.

Bold as a Lion
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
Proverbs 28.1

Fear can show up in many forms. For many, fear masquerades as wisdom. The voice of fear attempts to keep people small, quiet, and “safe.” Fear promises safety, but this safety isn’t real. It’s a facade. True safety comes in walking wholeheartedly in the calling and assignment of God over your life–even if that assignment looks foolish on the outside. The safest place to be is in the center of God’s will.

Fear has no place in the path of the righteous.  We know from Scripture that God is love (1 John 4) and we know that there is no fear in love (1 John 4.18).  Fear is from the wrong kingdom, and we, as believers, have no place partnering with fear. The voice of fear often sounds like an accusation: “you can’t do that. With your history? You’re the wrong gal for this.” It often sounds like intimidation: “if you take that risk, you’ll lose everything you’ve worked so hard for!” And sometimes, it even sounds like wisdom, “it’s important to always have a plan in place,” “I can’t leave my high paying job right now,” “if I dip into savings for this investment, then what?” Now, stewardship is incredibly important and it’s part of walking in the kingdom of God. And yet. It was never meant to keep us from taking risks in following God. We are called to live a life of faith. This means we won’t always have the answers perfectly laid out for us. This is why it’s called faith. The enemy will often use the voice of fear to keep us from following God, but don’t give in!

If you’ve been battling fear (in the form of extreme anxiety, swirling thoughts, paralysis, or even an obsession with making the right choice), know that you’re not alone. Moreover, know that God will never shame you for experiencing fear. Rather, He is inviting you to experience an encounter with His love. Repent of partnering with fear in any form and ask God to give you a heart of faith. Ask God  for a fresh encounter with His love. After all, perfect love casts out fear!  And then step out in faith. Courage isn’t the absence of fear, rather it’s making a brave choice in spite of fear. So it’s time to step out!  Take a bold risk and say “yes” to the dream, passion, or step that God has placed on your heart.

At The Crowning Jewels, it's our desire and our mission to bring encouragement, to build others up, and to bring comfort to people’s lives (1 Corinthians 14.3). Each month our founder, Anne, asks the Lord what He’s doing in the coming month and for any words of encouragement He might have for His people. We believe that prophetic words need to be encouraging and edifying. Moreover, with a corporate prophetic word, not all words are applicable to all people. If our words bless you, please take hold of them and apply them in your own life. If it’s not specific to you, please pass it on to someone else who might be blessed.

As always, the prophetic is a free gift from heaven and will always be something we freely share. As a prophetic business, it’s our mission to bring encouragement and edification to people through the free gift of prophecy, with our product being jewelry.

We at The Crowning Jewels believe in the absolute, transformational power of declarations. We know that truth comes by hearing (Romans 10.17), and speaking truth is an active way for us to renew our minds (Romans 12.2). We invite you to partner with what God is doing and say these declarations for the remainder of the month. We would love to hear what God does! Please email us your testimony at hello@thecrowningjewels.com.
