In the month of May, God is bringing about miraculous breakthroughs. He is taking what we bring him and exchanging it for something far greater. God knows the end from the beginning and is teaching us to walk in alignment with Him. He is setting us free from religious mindsets and bringing justice to places we’ve been falsely accused. God is lining things up. Trust His goodness and stand firm on what He has spoken over you.
Multiplying Breakthrough
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Luke 6.38
Time and time again in Scripture, people gave God what they had and He multiplied it. He used their offering to become a supernatural form of provision. We see this with Jesus, when he fed the 5000 with loaves and fishes or when he turned water into wine for the wedding feast and often in the Old Testament as well.
1 Kings 17:7-16 tells the story of a terrible famine in Israel. In this story, God speaks to Elijah “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.” But when Elijah gets there, this woman is at the end of everything. Elijah asks her for food and she responds that she’s about to make one last meal for her and her son and then get ready to die. He promises her that if she makes him a loaf of bread, her oil and flour will not run out. So she does as he says. They all eat together and her oil and flour don’t run out; she and her son are able to survive the horrible famine.
In another story, a widow’s sons are about to be sold into slavery to pay her husband’s debts. Elisha instructs her to gather as many jars as she can from all her neighbors. She does and the little bit of oil she had kept pouring and pouring until all the jars were filled. She used this money to pay off her debts and provide for her family.
God is doing this same kind of work today. He is taking our small offering and multiplying it. What do you have to bring before the Lord? Bring it. Even if you feel it is insignificant, bring to the Lord what you have and watch as He multiplies it. If you need a miracle or divine turnaround, this story is for you. Don’t be afraid to bring what you have before the Lord in humility and surrender, for He is able to multiply what you give.
Lining Things Up
I declare the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will accomplish.'
Isaiah 46.10
Taking large steps of faith can be incredibly scary. What if you mess it up? What if it doesn’t work out? What if everything falls apart? However, we are called to live by faith and not by sight! We serve the one who knows the end from the beginning…therefore, when He leads us somewhere, we can trust Him.
When I first started The Crowning Jewels, I was living in Redding, California and operating out of a tiny coworking space. My business started growing rapidly and I knew that I needed another building. I started looking around for open spaces and I found one: 1234 Yuba Street. The wildest part about this was that many years earlier, I had walked by this same building and taken a photo of the address. When I saw 1234, I felt the Lord say “I’m lining things up for you.” I also had a dream about a tree lined street with awnings, which was exactly like the street this was on! Therefore, when I saw it was for lease, I had the faith to take a big risk and lease it. God had already used this address on this building to speak to me many years earlier. It was a scary step of faith but God provided confirmation in the word from many years earlier!
God is orchestrating our futures. He knows where we’re going and we can trust His goodness and His sovereignty. Trust HIM. And don’t be afraid to take big steps of faith…for He knows where He’s leading you and why. Remember what He’s done in the past and allow this to fuel your courage today.
Breaking Free of Religion
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
John 5.19
Sometimes God will ask you to let go of the way you’re “supposed” to do things, in order to come back to His heart. I remember hearing the story of someone who was so afraid of punishment if he didn’t perfectly tithe 10% every month. He lived in constant fear of punishment. Well, God asked him to stop tithing. This sent him into a panic but it exposed all the areas he’d been believing that God loved him through how perfectly he lived.
For me (Anne), there was a period where God asked me to stop reading the Bible. I was certain that if I didn’t read my Bible every day, I’d be a disappointment to God. Therefore, God asked me to give up reading my Bible every day for a season. God invited me to experience him through relationship rather than simply through memorizing Scripture. I was forced to step out of what was rote and familiar in order to encounter him through relationships. I still love the Bible and filter everything I hear through Scripture. And now, I read the word daily again. Likewise, this man who stopped tithing for a while is now outlandishly generous and has surrendered his finances to God–he’s more generous than when he was simply tithing out of fear of punishment.
You see, God is far less interested in us performing perfectly for him than he is about our hearts. Tithing is still a powerful principle and the Bible is foundational for our faith. But when we think we have to earn righteousness, we’re missing the whole point of the Gospel—righteousness cannot be earned. Salvation is a free gift. God would RATHER invite us to encounter Him in everything. The Pharisees knew all the Scriptures, they tithed perfectly, and they did all the right things and yet, they missed Jesus. Therefore, God is inviting us to encounter His heart. For you, faith might look like finally starting to tithe because you’re ready to trust Him with your finances. It might look like diving into Scripture every day in order to seek Him.
God is setting His children free from fear and specifically fear of punishment. God invites you into holiness, he doesn’t berate you into perfection. We are pure and holy through the blood of Jesus and not through our actions. It’s time to come back to the simple Gospel: Jesus’ blood is enough. He made a way for us to have a relationship with the Father. So come back to relationship with God. Let go of your “shoulds” and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into rich connection with Him.
The Lord is my Defender
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28.1
Many years ago, when I (Anne) hadn’t been in business very long, a large portion of money was suddenly taken out of my account by the IRS. I was being accused of tax evasion (which was untrue). It took about a year, but I stood firm on the truth that I had paid the appropriate taxes, I took my case before the right people, and eventually the money was returned to me at the exact moment we needed it. During this time, I asked God for wisdom on how to navigate the situation and to be my Defender. I maintained a posture of humility while still advocating for justice. Eventually, all the money was returned to me and the situation was made right.
When the enemy comes to accuse, do not bow to his accusations. But stand firm on the truth. You can walk in confidence knowing that the Lord is your advocate and your defender. He will fight for you. Ask Him for wisdom and to discern what is your part to play and what is His. If you are facing injustice, false accusations, or even the voice of the accuser, God is your defender. He will give you the words to speak and the authority with which to speak. You can be bold as a lion because He is on your side.
At The Crowning Jewels, it's our desire and our mission to bring encouragement, to build others up, and to bring comfort to people’s lives (1 Corinthians 14.3). Each month, our founder, Anne Jackson, and our main writer, Katelyn Alexander ask the Lord what He’s doing in the coming month and for any words of encouragement He might have for His people. We believe that prophetic words need to be encouraging and edifying. Moreover, with a corporate prophetic word, not all words are applicable to all people. If our words bless you, please take hold of them and apply them in your own life. If it’s not specific to you, please pass it on to someone else who might be blessed.
As always, the prophetic is a free gift from heaven and will always be something we freely share. As a prophetic business, it’s our mission to bring encouragement and edification to people through the free gift of prophecy, with our product being jewelry.
We at The Crowning Jewels believe in the absolute, transformational power of declarations. We know that truth comes by hearing (Romans 10.17), and speaking truth is an active way for us to renew our minds (Romans 12.2). We invite you to partner with what God is doing and say these declarations for the remainder of the month. We would love to hear what God does! Please email us your testimony at hello@thecrowningjewels.com.
